It’s hard to believe we’re here, together, in this moment. I never thought I’d have a blog, let alone one attached to a brand. Beauty has been a lifelong passion of mine. Like many, I’ve always taken great care to address signs of aging in my face. But I was neglecting another part of my body that tells such a critical part of our personal story: my hands.
Every time we wash, disinfect, or sanitize our hands, we open the door for the impacts of aging and environmental damage to take hold. While we are washing away the bad things, we’re also stripping our skin of good things. Without replenishing them, these impacts continue unabated over time, stacked on top of our body’s natural aging process and accentuated by daily environmental stressors, leaving us with hands that look like we’ve been cage-fighting zombies post-apocalypse. I’m exaggerating. Slightly.
It’s often said that hands reveal our age. In addition to the “usual” signs – wrinkles, fine lines, discoloration, and UV damage – my hands had become dry and inflamed with severe eczema. They aged me far beyond my years.
I tried treatments, but none brought the impact I needed. I searched for ideas from friends, many of whom were noticing the same thing about their own hands, but found themselves without a solve (or a salve). Determined, I set out to create a regimen that would not only transform the appearance of my hands, but how I felt about myself.
This brings me to Habelo.
Even before I knew the name, I knew it would be something special: a brand that would bring the same level of care and sophistication to our hand skincare that we expect for our faces.
My mission was clear – to combine the best clean scientific innovation and natural powerhouse active ingredients to create high-performance, luxury hand care that’s dermatologist tested, proven effective, responsibly made, and beautiful to use. Alongside, I developed a patent-pending tool, our Treatment Boosting Glove, designed to enhance the efficacy of our formula.
Habelo stands alone as the first performance skincare brand dedicated solely to the beauty of hands. But to me, it’s more than just a brand. It's a moment and a movement – a moment to care for and love our hands, and a movement to preserve their beauty and the beauty they bring to this world.
